Tulips

This weekend I noticed that my tulips are starting to come up out of the ground! I can't wait to see what colors I end up with due to us planting a bag that contained an assortment of colors.

Recycling

Today we dropped off some of our recyclables, aluminum and plastics, for the first time at a center located downtown. I feel like I have done something good! It seems like every time I empty a plastic bottle, I'm checking to see if its a 1 or 2 plastic. Looking forward to expanding on my knowledge about recycling and doing my part to communicate to others to get them on board too.

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

It was nice having Valentine's Day on a Sunday, cause I got to spend the whole day with my husband! No big plans for us this year. But we did grill filet mignon and asparagus to have with a baked potato and delicious red wine. My hubby does nice work in the kitchen!

Valentine's Day the Movie

Saturday night, Kim and I headed to the movies to see Valentine's Day. This is the movie that had a ton of stars in the cast. It was a cute and funny romantic comedy! I loved the bloopers at the end too.

Tortugas

Last night my husband and I stopped by Tortugas to eat dinner. We had some cheese sticks and ordered a meat pizza which was REALLY good. We will be back for more pizza!

Snow!!!!

Thursday night the weathermen were still reporting that Bham was still in the running for snow. However, at that point they were saying it would be here during the wee hours of the morning. Unfortunately when we woke up Friday morning, there was no snow. So, off to work we went. But, it did start snowing around 10am. I watched it fall from the 16th floor of our office building. A few of us even went outside to play; um I mean take pictures. Then we got the word, the company was going to close at 1pm. Yeah!!!!! Now, I'm at home with all the blinds open so we can see the snow fall.

Are you for real?

The other day I was on the escalator in the food court at work and I overheard these two men who were behind me talking. The one guy asked if Valentine's Day was this week and the other guy stated, "No, its next week. I think the 18th." What???? I thought I should correct him, but decided not too.
