Recyclables
Dropped off our recyclables today at the center downtown. My New Year's resolution this year was to recycle what I can, so I am still maintaining my resolution!
Memorial Day
This weekend we took it easy, so today we ended up running around doing all our errands. We were able to grill (it seemed to rain off and on all weekend long) some burgers for dinner. Thanking the hubby for making some yummy bacon cheeseburgers!!!
Prom Dress
We are planning on going to Ace & TJ's Second Chance Prom, so this weekend I was on a mission to find a prom dress! I wanted a short dress with a little bit of sequins. Found what I needed at Macys. It's a navy blue dress with a little beading around the neckline. Very cute and it ended up being $40!!! Now I just need some silver shoes and the hubby needs to get fitted for a tux asap.

Identifying Plants
I feel fairly confident that I picked up my rash from one of those poisonous plants via our dogs. I have been walking around our yard trying to find these plants, i.e my search and destroy mission. However, everything starts to look the same! I took some pictures of what I thought could be potential culprits to compare against the internet, but I'm still not sure.

Recovering
This weekend was spent trying to recover from the allergic reaction I had to one of the three poisonous plants. That means I basically did nothing and stayed in satin pjs to be comfortable. Friday's shot definitely helped. Still taking my pills along with applying the cream. I just wish the rash and the blisters would go away faster. Makes it hard to find something to wear for the workplace that covers this stuff, yet keeping me comfortable for an 8 hrs shift. Wish me luck on pulling something together!

Poision Ivy, Oak or Sumac
gave me a rash like I have never had before!!!!!! Sunday evening, I had noticed two red dots on my arm. I thought they were mosquito bites, but I was wrong! Monday afternoon, my arm was on fire. Tuesday, I noticed blisters and figured out that this was not mosquito bites. I had one blister fill up to the size of a blueberry and I'm not exaggerating! I must say, this is the point in time that thing started to look a little gross. Started to apply Caladryl lotion, got some oatmeal body wash and later on picked up some Zanfel to help aid in the relief efforts. By Wednesday, I had multiple large blisters down my arm and started to see smaller stuff appear on my legs. I also had large ring circling the blisters that were expanding all over. This, started to get me concern. Not to mention the people who kept bringing up that you could get blood poisoning, thanks for helping to scare me to death. I had a big meeting on Thursday that I was just trying to get threw. I did but was in pure misery before the day was over. I'm sure the panty hose I had to wear with my suit added to that misery. I left work early dying to get out of that outfit with every intention of seeing a doctor on Friday morning. My husband was in agreement that the rash looked bad. Was able to get in with the doctor by mid-morning. The nurse told me that it looked bad and the doctor stated that it looked painful. I was in agreement with both! Got me a powerful steroid shot in the booty, which caused me great anxiety for I have this fear of needles. Also left with a prescription for a cream and pills, so I am now on the road for recovery. Looking forward to being able to bend my arm and not wince in pain and a restful night of sleep would be wonderful too.

Patio Set
I finally got my patio set!!!!! I have had my eyes on this for over a month now and we have been trying to work out the logistics to pick it up. The box was huge and was not going to fit in our car. Ultimately, we borrowed a small SUV and it just barely fit. Got it assembled this weekend, thanks to my husband! I can't wait to dine outside :-)
Yard Work
This weekend my husband and I did way too much yard work! We ventured out to the nursery to look at more flowers. I was in search for a begonia that I wanted, but didn't see the particular type I had my heart set on. We ended up leaving with another large pot for our deck, but at the time don't have any plants to put in it. Pulled a bunch of weeds. Put out 12 bags of mulch and didn't even complete half of our flower beds! What were the previous owners thinking???

Big Orange Club
My husband got to attend the Big Orange Club event during lunch. He met both the football and basketball coach. In the process he ended up on film and was pictured in the sport segment on all the local news channels!!! Too funny.
Non-Stop
Honestly, work has been insane for months now. Here lately, I feel like I can't move fast enough on various tasks. I am soooooooo ready for a vacation!!!!!
