PCB Vacation - Day 4
Yep, this day was spent all day at the pool. I was at the 10th floor pool by 9am and the hubby by 10am. He left around noon to pick up beer and rib baskets from Pineapple Willy's. Made it back to the room just in time for the USA vs Ghana soccer match. Ate lunch and watched some of the game before taking a nap. Woke up from my nap ready to hit the pool again around 5:30pm. This time we started out at the main pool and worked our way up to the 10th floor pool. Stayed until 8:30 pm and saw some of the water and light show on the way back to our room - they were playing Christina Aguilera songs this night. Had turkey sandwiches and chips on the patio while we listened to the beach and Saturday night activities.

PCB Vacation - Day 3
Up early this morning. Ate breakfast and made our way to the beach by 9am. The water was beautiful and the beach was not crowed yet. Played in the water, took pictures, laid out for a while before heading back to the 10th floor pool. Stayed at the pool until we were ready to eat. Walked over to Pineapple Willy's where we both had the fried shrimp willy baskets. After lunch we went back to the room to chill out for a while. I sat on the patio and watched the beach activity, glad this is shaded all day, and the hubby played his video games. Around two we headed back to the 10th floor pool. Broke out the tanning oil - probably too early to attempt this. By four we started getting ready for dinner. Tonight we were going to Boar's Head Restaurant. We both got the surf and turf - filet mignon and fried lobster tails. So yummy too!!! Came back to the hotel and headed over to the island pool. Crossing the boardwalk you could see all the turtles in the water. From here we could somewhat see the light and water show, but could defiantly hear it from the pool. This night had 80's music mixed in with the show. I know those types of songs! We left this pool and hopped over to the two pools on the main floor. They were playing Wall-E at this location. So we swam and watched some of the movie. After this we turned in due to the hot tub being too crowded.
PCB Vacation - Day 2
Happy Anniversary!!!! Today marks four years of marriage. Unfortunately, I woke up Thursday morning not feeling well at all. Michael had to head to the beach and pool without me. By late afternoon, I was feeling better and ready to eat some food. We had lunch together on the patio and then headed out to the 10 floor pool for the rest of the afternoon. Dinner landed us at the Captain Anderson's restaurant. I had the grilled shrimp, potatoes, salad and cheesecake and the hubby had the surf and turf, salad and key lime pie. Man was everything delicious. I love shrimp! Came back to the hotel to catch the light and water fountain show which was dancing to 70's music. Then it was back to the pool. We started at the main floor pool, then jumped to the 10th floor pool where be bounced back and forth from the pool and hot tub.
PCB Vacation - Day 1
Well, at the last minute we decided to head to the beach for our anniversary. Woke up Wednesday morning to finish packing. Caught a little bit of the USA soccer match between getting ready. Did see that amazing shot that resulted in a win!!! On the road by noon. Had a nice trip on the way to Panama City Beach. Arrived at the Laketown Warf Condos by 6pm. Unloaded everything to our room on the 21st floor - wow that is high!!! But we have a wonderful view of the beach from our patio. Toured the property. Five pools and a hot tub, I was going to be in heaven!!! Had a nice boardwalk to catch an evening light and water show. Later that night we walked over the Pineapple Willy's for dinner. Ate at the inside bar and then moved over to the other bar to hear the band - Jacobs, Brock & Beasley. We sat listening to the band and sipping on our drinks - beer and strawberry daiquiri. Turned in before midnight and was looking forward to start the next day!

Prom 2010
We attended Ace & TJ's Second Chance Prom, which is a fundraiser for their charity. Dined at the Macaroni Grill before heading over the the prom. Arrived to the event and noticed it was warm. Turns out the A/C was not functioning at 100%. Didn't take long for my hair to go flat! Glad I went with a short dress! Got to meet the radio staff and took some pictures too. Had a blast dancing the night away. Would love to go back again!

Go USA!!!
Watched two of the World Cup games on Saturday. Really was waiting for the USA vs England game to start. England started off fast with a goal. USA later on got a goal. Felt bad for England's goalie but we needed a point. The match ended in a tie. Sure was a lot of work to only earn one point!!!

New Petunias
I had to purchased some more petunias today. My petunias in two out of my three planter boxes have died. Not sure if they were just done blooming or if they are not getting enough water. I purchased more, this time pink ones, today at Lowes and noticed that they came from a farm in Auburn, Alabama. Love that!
Silver Shoes
I was on a mission to find silver shoes for my "prom" dress. I was having such a hard time finding an inexpensive pair that I actually liked. Found a pair on clearance at DSW, but the heel is smaller than I wanted. Got them home and it looks fine with the dress, but I really would like a higher heel. Oh, well. Thanking my husband for going along on this trip!
Tux
Wednesday we picked up my husband's tux for the Second Chance Prom this Saturday. He picked out what he wanted on his own and he did a good job! He will be sporting a navy vest and tie and the color matches perfectly with my dress. While in the store I chatted with one of the employees who mentioned that she did not go to her prom because her dad did not believe in dancing. Wow, just like the Footloose movie!!!!

Scrapbooking
I have neglected my scrapbook. I still need to finish with three big events from 2009 to complete that book and I have not even touched my 2010 stuff!!! Last night I ran into Hobby Lobby to get a few pieces of paper that I needed. Worked a little bit on my project late Saturday night. Making progress!
New Plant - Gardenia
I have been wanting to get some gardenia plants for the yard. Apparently, like everything else, there are several different types. There were two types at the one place that I was at and only the one had a flower so I was unsure what I really wanted. I did get some advice and after what the associate told me, I was still not sure. Both were the same price so I went with the one that had flowers already on it. So time will tell if this grows to the size that I am looking to have in our yard. Nonetheless, it smells wonderful!!!
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time

I'm a little behind on my movie going activities. Saturday evening I had every intention to see a movie. I was torn as to which one to go see first - Iron Man, The Killers, Sex and the City 2 or the Prince of Persia. I decided to start with the Prince of Persia. I really enjoyed it and would recommend it to my friends.
Swimming
I am excited that we joined the YMCA for the summer. Now I will have somewhere to swim this summer!!!

I made it . . .
through the day! Last night I started to feel funny. Around midnight my head was pounding and I had the feeling that I was going to get sick. I did end up vomiting around 12 am, 1am and 2am. I was miserable and I know I was keeping my husband awake too. I finally fell back asleep around 3am only to have my alarm go off at 5:30am. I got up feeling horrible and tried to take a shower. My head was still hurting so I laid back down. I was torn . . . do I call in sick or try to go in a little late. I had a call schedule at 10 am and 4 pm that I would miss otherwise I would of called in sick without a doubt. I pushed through and went to work by 9:30 am still looking a little pale. Moved at slower pace and avoided my computer for long periods of time, but was able to keep my migraine from returning. Glad to finally be home. Took the dogs out and hit the bed until around 8pm when I finally decided to get something to eat. Looking forward to a better night.
