Lunch

Today Michael and I were out running some errands and when we finished my husband wanted to go eat somewhere different. We ended up at Joe's Crab Shack splitting a bucket of shrimp and crawfish - I ate the shrimp and he ate the crawfish. Afterwards, Michael stated how the crawfish tasted different than what he had last year at the Shaeffer's Crawfish Boil. We thought that it was probably due to the fact that those are still alive and are very fresh. Turns out in speaking with the waitress we found out that their crawfish comes from China. Very interesting.

Cookies

My husband came home with two boxes of girl scout cookies - samoas and thin mints. Not my personal favorites, but I did eat some of the thin mints which happened to disappear pretty quickly. Then, my husband came home with another box of thin mints which landed on the dresser in the bedroom. I just assumed that he purchased more because the other went so fast. I also thought they were in the bedroom because it seems to be where he drops everything here lately. So, on the weekend I was cleaning and I moved this box of cookies to the cabinet in the kitchen. Later on in the day I remembered those cookies and thought I would eat a few. Well, on Sunday I made some comment around eating cookies. My husband then questioned what cookies. Of course, I told him the thin mints. Turns out those cookies were for a coworker at the movie theater!!!!!!

James, Piper and Addie

This weekend our friends James and Piper along with their baby girl, Addie, were in town visiting. Michael spent the mid-afternoon playing golf with the guys. Later on we met up at The Needham's house for dinner. One of these days Michael and I are going to head to Nashville so that we can visit the Fly family.

Salon

Had a trip to the salon today, still in the process of removing the blond highlights for good.

Pine Straw

I was pleasantly surprised to come home after to work to see that pine straw was applied to our yard, which desperately needed it. Turns out that the company that does our yard had excess from a project and thought of us. It looks great and I am very thankful for such a nice gesture!!!!

It's Snowing!!!!!

Snow falling .

Kelly in the snow.

Michael making snow angels.

Yippee, we have snow!!!! And it's falling fairly heavy still. Too bad the ground is so wet and still warm. The dogs are too funny. Auburn wants to eat the snow and Jasmine wants to play in the snow!

Nester

Once again we have a bird who has built a nest on the tiny ledge at our front door. Within the past few months, we have started to take Auburn out the front door so he is not straining his little legs climbing the stairs by the back door. At night when we go outside for his potty breaks the bird is usually on the nest and as we return we seem to startle the bird and its flies out the nest. I have to duck so the bird doesn't hit me! Going to try a continuous talk to Auburn on my way back into the house so maybe we don't startle the bird as much. Haven't tried to look in the nest yet to see if we have any eggs. Maybe I will get to that this week.
